Course Description:
This course is designed to improve ability in oral and written Spanish as well as to review grammatical concepts learned in Spanish I. A variety of readings relating to the Hispanic world will be used. Students will learn advanced vocabulary, grammar of the language, and then apply what they have learned in written and spoken exercises. The pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar focus is on communicating in Spanish as it is used by native Spanish speakers in everyday situations.

Course Notes:
Since the best way to learn another language is practice, homework assignments will be required so students can practice at home.  Homework will include material from the textbook, the activities manual and material provide by the tutor such as worksheets, readings and recorded conversations.

Students’ grades will be given based on homework assignments, class participation, cultural projects, written and oral presentations, quizzes and quarterly exams.

Course Prerequisites:
Placement test or 80% or higher in Teenworks Spanish I

Copy Fee:
$15 yearly copy fee payable to tutor on 1st day of class
