Course Description:
FIRST SEMESTER will deal with elements of art and composition with emphasis on World Art. Students gain understanding of how ideas affect the look of art in a variety of cultures, broadening their exposure and use of pencil and ink applied with a brush or pen

SECOND SEMESTER The students get an in-depth look at color theory and how to use it with dry media of hard pastels and oil pastels. The element of color is explored in eight units, completing the student’s study of the elements of art. Composition, as it relates to color, is further explored in the following eight units, covering ideas of depth and perspective found throughout the world. Emphasis is on World Art.

$10 yearly copy fee payable to tutor on 1st day of class
